Active Rehab clinic works with you to reach your optimal physical health. Whether you suffer from low back pain, neck pain, or are recovering from post operative knee surgery our qualified therapists can help with any musculoskeletal injury. Your treatment program starts with physiotherapy and chiropractic initial assessment. During your exam our therapists will complete an extensive assessment that will include your health history, evaluate your pain, range of motion, movement patterns, strength, flexibility, reflexes, sensation, and cardiorespiratory status. In addition, your physiotherapist and chiropractor examines any relevant X-rays, MRI's, Ultrasound reports, laboratory tests, surgical notes and accident reports you may have. Based on the clinical findings your therapist establishes a diagnosis and works with you to develop a personalized treatment program. You will be assigned a kinesiologist for you to work with one on one.
RAJU GUPTA (RAJ) B.P.Th. Registered Physiotherapist
RAJU GUPTA (RAJ) B.P.Th. Registered Physiotherapist Raj graduated in 2011 and has since developed extensive knowledge in the rehabilitation of Orthopaedic and Sports injuries. Close collaboration with Orthopaedic Surgeons over a number of years has given Raj broad knowledge of the latest surgical approaches in both upper and lower extremities and their post-operative rehabilitation. He also has extensive experience in the treatment of a wide spectrum of non-surgical Orthopaedic conditions. Raj has also done Post Graduate Diploma in Work Place Wellness and Health Promotion (WWHP) from Centennial College along with doing his Co-op from Harmony Hall center for seniors, where he developed various Gentle fitness and exercise classes by his combined knowledge of WWHP and physiotherapy. Raj has a keen interest in treatment of all injuries ranging from acute sports injuries to chronic, movement based and postural related injuries. His scope of practice includes rehabilitation from injury, return to sport, management of pain, functional improvement, overall strength and conditioning, and pre-rehabilitation. Raj is passionate about serving patients and utilizes evidence- based treatments involving manual therapy (hands-on treatment), electrotherapy, exercise therapy, therapeutic taping, and patient education.
Dr. Peter Bassit D.C.
Dr. Peter Bassit comes from strong background in academics, athletics, injury rehabilitation and exercise management. With 10 years of post secondary education and 14 years of working in the fitness industry, he developed a commitment to wellness and education over the years.
Peter has completed his honours degree in Kinesiology at the University of Western Ontario as well as a college diploma in recreational services. While completing his doctorate degree in Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College he worked in a rehabilitation clinic as well as opened his own business; this gave him the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clientele including post surgical patients, children with special needs, cystic fibrosis patients and varsity athletes. He spent over 700 hrs of placement at Bloorview McMillan Children Centre running numerous programs for children with special needs. He gets great satisfaction from establishing goals with his patients and helping them achieve them.
As a practitioner Dr. Bassit is genuine and compassionate about his patient’s wellness. He believes in patient centered care through a multidisciplinary team approach. His thirst for knowledge and self improvement keeps him motivated and up to date on current research in the field.
